Retro recordings from back then
In 2019, in
the legacy of my late father, I found a tape cassette with excerpts from my
first music projects that I once produced as a teenager under primitive
circumstances. My original tapes from back then were lost in a fire.
As I transferred
the tape to the computer, I thought back and forth about whether this music was
worthy to be provided to the general public. There is no doubt that those
recordings cannot stand up to professional standards. On the other hand, I
think these dusty and sometimes clumsy pieces have their own charm. After all,
I didn't have a computer back then: Handmade, hand-synced electronic music! —
Ultimately, I decided to record four of the old melodies in new interpretations
and put them on my “retro CD”. Something for analog friends and electro
nostalgics. The last track "Silence Before The Hurrican" should also
appeal to "psychedelic" fans with its 20-minute hypnotic soundscape.
